POWs working in a warehouse

warehouse work

We didn’t start working at first with the Italian prisoners, but we hadn’t been there long when they started bringing them over to the warehouses to work and load the boxcars...There would be an Army Sargent that would bring the group. And then the Italians would have a Sargent over them in groups of about 5 or 6. The Italian Sargent usually spoke some English and the guards would sit there with their guns.
