This collection consists of excerpts from seven early newspapers, from New England and Iowa , dated April 8, 1728 to July 24, 1885, containing information from Revolutionary times to the 1880's.

Newspaper 2                  The Boston Gazette and Country Journal , March 2, 1770 includes an                                                 account of the Rope Walk in Boston now known as the Boston Massacre.

 

Newspaper 3                  The New York Morning Post , November 7, 1783

 

Newspaper 4                  The Ulster County Gazette , January 4, 1800 contains the story of                                                  George Washington's death.
