Article Databases
To find articles on your
topic you need to use article databases, also known as periodical
indexes. Each database usually covers a group of subject related
journals. Search by subject or keyword in these indexes. Article
databases may be found using the Database
Finder.

Agricola
All areas of agriculture including cooperative extension, food
science, forestry, home economics, nutrition, rural sociology
and veterinary medicine. 1970- present
Biological
Abstracts
Biological Abstracts®, produced by BIOSIS, is a complete collection
of bibliographic references covering life science and biomedical
research literature published from more than 4,000 journals internationally.
This database contains nearly 7.7 million archival records from
as far back as 1969, with more than 370,000 citations added each
year. 1996 - present
BioOne
Access full text journals in biology, ecology and the environmental
sciences.
Blackwell
Synergy Journals
As of June 30, 2008 all journal content was merged into Wiley
Interscience to become Wiley-Blackwell. After Friday, June 27,
this site will no longer available.
ScienceDirect
College Edition: Health & Life Sciences Journals Collection
Science Direct College Edition is a database of full-text, high
quality journals published by Elsevier. The database consists
of 3 different collections--Social & Behavioral Sciences,
Physical Sciences, and Health & Life Sciences. Citations &
abstracts are provided for pre- 2002 information and for Elsevier
journals the library does not subscribe to. 2002 - present.
Using Catalogs:
Search the Stewart Library
web catalog to find books, videos, and journals available in the
Library. Most of the books on Botany are located on
level two of the library in the General Collection under the call
numbers QK, SB.
Interlibrary Loan:
If we do not own a particular
book or article you need, we will borrow it for you from another
library through Interlibrary
Loan.
Reference resources include
encyclopedias, dictionaries and other materials you use to "refer"
to. Use these resources for background information on a topic.
