x			You always get to learn about the library in high school, but I had yet had the opportunity to learn about the library while in college. I have been here 1 1/2 years and have used the library once. mainly because I had no idea how to go about it. Now that I know more of how to get around, I am sure I will frequent the WSU library at least 2-3 times a month.
		x	this exercise was easier for the people who are very familiar with a computer and are able to jump from one computer task to the next. However it was alot harder for me because I have never really used a computer before.

x			I usually fall asleep through just about any presentation there is. This one was different, though. Regardless of me walking in late, I was still able to get the information that I needed to do the exercise, and it was short. Short but informative, the presenter also stayed around to make sure there were no questions that he might answer before he left.

	x		The only thing that is hard or tricky is the ones who use the library off campus. Getting into encyclopedias and even the article databases took a lot of time and was hard to set up, there needs to be a better way for kids who can not get up to the campus all the time to access information.

	x		When I took the rest of the worksheet home to finish I couldn't make the encyclopedia work it kept asking for a password and username but the one hte librarian gave me did not work.

		x	it was good, however instead of concentrating on what I was to learn, I raced through it so that I wouldn't have to do it on my own time(which I don't have) and I would be able to make it to my next class on time.
x			I think that this will really help me when I go to do my research report in a couple of months. I now know that I don't have to go to just the county library but I can use the Weber library and probably get better success.

		x	The main reason it was effective was that I didn't know that this type of research even excisted here. I think the instructor should have allowed more time to work on it ourselves. We can follow directions; we're not stupid.

		x	I think there are many other ways to get information. Using just the Weber State pages isnt enough for all the information you might need so it might be better to go around on the internet and find the things that are left out by the Weber State Pages. But at least now I know where the Weber State Library is:)

	x		Doing this exercise really didn't help me. The instructions sometimes didn't make sense when it said to click on something and it wouldn't even be there. So overall, I didn't find that doing this helped me.

	x		The course seemed directed towards people who had a very limited knowledge of internet usage. I gained a little familiarity with the WSU library system, but felt that some of us were bored because the instruction was directed towards only those with little internet experience. I kinda wanted to rush the basics and maybe learn a few techniques that could improve my researching skills.

x			The session was very informative. It taught how to use the computers in the library which was very helpful. I did not know how to use the computers and now that I do the research shouldn't be as tough as expected. This is a very good program and tool for students to use. 	x		This exercise is about as effective as jumping around on your own. The only difference is I would find what I was looking for if I was using my own way.
x			This was a good idea becaus I have never been here before. I hope that I can remember how to use this and I know that it will take time for me to know how to use it. The instrutor that was here was very helpful. I was confused on how to use it but I know that I can come and get help if needs be.

	x		Since the University experienced a virus last Tuesday, 9/18/2001 I have found it harder to do some of the research using the paths described in the handout..some of the links mentioned do not work very well like question 11 using the Reference Resources and going into an Encyclopedia.. Encyclopedia of Life Sciences did not work at all and even the route describer for Encyclopedia Britannica was somewhat difficult. I had to have a librarian come over and help me because I couldn't get any "hits" i hope the virus is soon or somehow cleaned up.

x			I was already familiar with the library but unfamiliar with the article databases this was informative for me.
		x	This was a good exercise to teach students how to use the library system, but I had a hard time understanding many of the directions in the Library Skills exercise. It would help if the directions were a little more clear so that we will know exactly what our teacher is looking for and what information we're supposed to have on our worksheets. Thanks!!!
