Research
Help
Students and faculty engaged
in undergraduate research
projects are invited to work with a subject
librarian whenever needed. Please contact the subject
librarian assigned to your discipline or department for assistance
with:
- completing a literature review
- identifying and using online article databases and reference tools
- accessing full text articles, ejournals and books
- verifying citations
- citing and documenting sources according to a particular style
(APA, MLA, etc)
- instruction sessions by librarians on using specialized databases
or other information resources for researchers and research teams
Please also take advantage
of our Ask A Librarian
reference service for research help via:
- telephone or email library reference staff
- chat with a professional librarian when the library
is open - click on the link at the upper right of most
library pages.
Library Facilities,
Collections and Services
To request library materials
needed to support your research, please contact a subject

Library Homepage for more information about the library's collections

Information Literacy
and Undergraduate Research
The library is committed
to supporting faculty, students, staff and the broader community with
information needed for scholarly and creative work. Librarians see
themselves as partners in the undergraduate research initiative at
Weber State University (WSU). Through WSU's Information
Literacy program and requirement
students are highly encouraged to gain information
literacy competencies in their freshman and sophomore years. Students
that have met WSU's information literacy requirement will arrive in
the upper division coursework ready to engage in research in their
major course of study. Undergraduate research experiences will better
enable students to leave WSU as lifelong learners.
