Find
Books Using Library Catalogs
Use the Stewart Library's online
catalog (iPAC) to find out what books are available and where
they are located in the Stewart Library. The online catalog also
tells which journals are available in the Stewart Library.
Also use the Internet
to access online catalogs from many other universities in Utah and the world.
Use World
Cat to search many library catalogs at once. Then
use Interlibrary loan to
order titles delivered to you at WSU.
To
request books from other libraries, use Interlibrary Loan
If you cannot find the
book you are looking for in the Stewart, the library staff will
be happy to borrow the book for you from another library. To get
a book sent from another library, use ILLIAD,
our online interlibrary loan system.
To
purchase books from bookstores
Try buying the books you need
from an online bookstore, especially if you are in a rush, and can afford
it. Use bookstores to find out about titles, then request them through
Interlibrary Loan!
To
purchase books directly from publishers
Many publishing companies are now
enabling customers to purchase materials directly. The Yahoo
Publishers page may be a useful place to begin searching for
a particular publisher, or try guessing the URL; for example, http://www.wiley.com
is the URL for John Wiley and Sons publishing company.
