documents are arranged by publishing agency, using the Superintendent of Documents
classification system. The Government Documents collection contains:

• materials published and distributed by US government agencies, including:
  • congressional hearings and reports
  • books
  • serial publications
  • journals and magazines
  • maps
  • exhibition catalogs
  • laws and legislation
  • supreme court reports
  • patents

Many documents are not yet listed in the online catalog, but some are listed.   Most items may be checked out for 21 days or according to circulation policies.
