"Request copy" or a hold cannot be placed on an item that is currently "checked in" on the library catalog. All "checked in" items must be retrieved by the patron and are available on a first come basis.
"Request copy" can only be placed on items that are listed as currently "checked out" on the library catalog. Items that are "checked out" may be held upon return by going to the Library's online catalog, finding the item that is "checked out" and clicking on "Request copy." In the box, you will need to enter your library barcode number, located on your Wildcard. This will enter your name into the hold queue for the item. When the item has been returned, you will be notified of its return and it will be held for you at the Circulation Services desk for 3 - 7 days.
"Request copy" or a Hold cannot be placed on "in library use" items, reserve items, or equipment.
Recalls for library owned items are recalled only under special conditions and are recalled by Circulation Services. If the library's copy of an item is unavailable, you may request the item through Interlibrary Loan.
