The Stewart Library strives to offer accommodations for all patrons to access information resources held in the library and through our digital collections. Please see our information below about our various accessibility capabilities.
Accessibility
- Elevators: The elevator east of the main lobby serves the third floor. The elevator on the second floor in the south wing serves both the second and third floors.
- Emergency systems: The Library is equipped with ADA compliant fire/emergency alarm devices.
- Entrances: An ADA compliant main entrance is located on the west side of the first floor. The entrance on the east side of the second floor is also wheelchair accessible.
- Materials Retrieval: Personnel from the first floor service desk are available to retrieve books and other media from shelving areas upon request.
- Parking: Designated parking stalls are provided on the south side of the building by the library loading dock.
- Public Transit / Paratransit: The UTA provides lift-equipped buses on all routes, and paratransit services are also available. Visit the UTA website for more information on accessible routes and paratransit. The UTA OGX also runs Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Restrooms / Water Fountains: Wheelchair accessible restrooms and a water fountain are located on the south and north side of the second floor.
- Shuttle Service: WSU Disability Services operates a shuttle service between campus buildings. For more information, visit the Weber State University's Disability Services page, call 801-626-6413, or send a text to TDD: 801-626-7283.
Assistive Technology
- Print Readers: Magnification reading devices for print materials are located on the second floor in the north and south sides.
- TTY (teletypewriter): Telephone service for the hearing impaired is available at 801-626-6741.
