Placing materials on Course Reserve provides WSU students an alternative means of accessing course materials that may be difficult to acquire due to time constraints, cost or rarity of materials. Course Reserve is also a good place for materials that are supplemental resources that are not required course materials but may still be beneficial to students.
Adding Reserve Materials
Physical Materials in the Library
All requests for materials to be added to Course Reserve must be submitted using the online Reserve Request Form. If you have any questions contact us at ereserve@weber.edu.
When processing material for Course Reserve, the library requires the following:
- Materials must be delivered at least three days before the intended date of use. Materials will be processed in the order they are received.
- Materials submitted must be in conformance with University Policy, WSU Library, and U.S. Copyright guidelines.
- All personal materials submitted for Course Reserve must be submitted directly to the Stewart or Davis Library Service Desk. Materials delivered without a completed Reserve Request Form cannot be processed and will be returned to you.
- Up to 3 copies of physical material (per library) can be placed on Course Reserve. Exceptions are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Electronic Materials in Canvas
Electronic materials may be submitted directly within Canvas using Library eReserve. Materials may include eBooks, URLs, library streaming media, articles, book chapters, and digital files.
Due to copyright restrictions, each material made available using Library eReserve must undergo a Fair Use analysis for each semester they are used.
To activate Library eReserve in your Canvas course:
