Special Collections & University Archives (SCUA) collects, preserves, and provides access to unique primary sources, archives and rare books documenting the history of Weber State University, Ogden City, Weber and Davis counties specifically, and Northern Utah generally.
Our collections include materials that span the history of the counties, from World War I enlistment records, to family scrapbooks, to Ogden Standard Examiner photographs, to Ogden City records. The history of Weber State University, from student enrollment forms used by Weber Stake Academy at the end of the 19th century, to satellites launched by WSU at the end of the 20th century, and from Waldo Wildcat to the Board of Trustees.
There are many wonderful materials, photographs, and memorabilia that represent an important part of our local history. Our collections have enabled the department to better meet the ever increasing needs of faculty, students, researchers, and the community at large.
