Mission Statement
The Friends of the Stewart Library are emissaries who connect the library to diverse local communities. The Friends help build a stronger library through programming, outreach, fundraising, and other forms of support, particularly for efforts to preserve and promote regional history and culture.
Become a Friend
When you become a Friend of Stewart Library, you join a community that values public engagement with knowledge and learning. Your support helps:
- Fund purchases or donations of unique collections.
- Fund public programs and events that promote learning, community, and the preservation of local and regional history and culture.
- Promote greater awareness and use of library collections, services, and programs.
- Build a larger network of support for the important work of the Library in promoting education, research, and community engagement.

- Interlibrary Loan borrowing privileges (Contributor level and above).
- Invitation to an annual behind the scenes tour of Special Collections & University Archives.
- Invitations to lectures, exhibits and events sponsored by the Friends, as well as invitations to special WSU and community events.
- A newsletter to stay current on library news and events.
- Income tax deductions for monetary donations.
- Special recognition in the Stewart Library newsletter, other publicity, and at events (Benefactor level and above).
