Course Reserve

Course reserves are supplementary materials (including books, disks, A/V materials, journal articles and/or photocopies, electronic resources, instructional equipment, and non-book items) chosen by the faculty to support class instruction.

Current Periodicals
-
Includes current issues of magazines, journals, newsletters, and other periodicals.
These materials are arranged by subject, using the LC system. Issues remain in the current periodicals area until there are enough issues received to form a bound volume. The single issues are then collected, sent to the bindery and entered into the General Collection on the Top Level.

Curriculum

Primarily used by students in the WSU Teacher Education program and local school teachers, the Curriculum collection contains sample textbooks, teacher guides, curriculum guides for primary and secondary school education.

Oral History Collection

Search through digital Oral Histories from Weber State faculty, staff, students, and from the Weber and Davis County communities.

Oversized Collection
-
General Collection books that are 33 cm tall or taller (12 63/64 inches = 13 inches) and wider than 30 cm (11 13/16 inches = 12 inches) are cataloged and labeled as Oversized. They are located on the north side of the third floor in a location specifically for oversized books.

The Reference collection is an excellent place to begin research on a topic. There are print and online resources such as encyclopedias on most topics.

The Special Collections department of the Stewart Library focuses on collecting materials that document Ogden and Weber and Davis Counties specifically and Northern Utah generally.

This collection is a citation database of academic materials created by members of the Weber State University community, including faculty, staff & student publications. It includes articles, books, book chapters, book reviews, conference papers, film, master’s theses, patents, presentations/reports, and senior projects.
